Woodland Art

September 30, 2016

At Enya's it is exciting to see how our outings to the local woodlands and playing fields develop a vast range of learning dispositions and practical life skills within the children. They are encouraged to hypothesise, find meaning, solve problems and build their knowledge in their natural environment through hands on experience. Our Reggio inspired approach means the children can achieve their learning outcomes in a positive environment whilst they are having fun which is the best motivator for learning.

Here we are drawing things we can see and hear all around us in the woods. One of our children told us he was drawing "a big airplane" of which, sure enough, was flying over head. He drew in circles visualising the sound of the engine. A masterpiece in our eyes!
